  • Follow the instructions below to update Spybot Search & Destroy & remove Spyware from your PC:
  1. Double-click the icon on your desktop called “Spybot-Search & Destroy.”

Or click on Start, All Programs, Spybot - Search & Destroy, Spybot – Search & Destroy.

  1. Click on the button “Search for Updates.”
  2. If there are any available updates, check each one manually. Then click the “Download Updates” button on the top.
  3. Once the updates are complete, click on the “Immunize” button on the left.
  4. Click on the “+ Immunize” button on the top. Click “OK” to the following message.
  5. Click on the “Search & Destroy” button on the left.
  6. Click the “Check for problems” button on the top.
  7. The scan process will take about 5 minutes to complete.

Note:  If you see any entries such as “Wind Updates” or “Windows Security Center,” uncheck them. Then click on the “Fix selected problems” button on the top. Follow the prompts.

  1. Close the Spybot - Search & Destroy program & reboot your pc to be safe.
